The wind on Lake Superior and the Lake effect snow has wreaked havoc on the northern shore of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The picture is of Scott Falls in Alger County. When the wind is right an ice wishing well forms as the falls begin to freeze up. Magic. #Yoopers #puremichigan #waterfall

This is a picture from my collection of historical photos. It is from Copper Country here in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. He's holding what we call here a pasty, pronounced (past - ee) and is considered a part of Upper Peninsula culture for 150 years. #yooper #history #Michigan

I just joined and this seems like a nice site. I was really sick of getting hacked on Facebook and never actually seeing posts from friends. This looks like a nice place to be without the drama.
