I agree 100%. That being said, I deleted my Facebook and Instagram accounts in 2021.
I will also say that I noticed when someone did this to ANOTHER influencer / personality on Instagram (in the car-modification world) - that they were thanked. ~~~OMG, so-and-so, thank you!~~ screenshotted + posted

I think I got to this post too late. But, still if anyone wants to reply to me - I was wondering... the right-wing vilification of Jack Smith... Was that:
a) modus operandi for any type of non-capitulation - so you gotta go after Jack just cuz
b) Too dumb to notice that Jack was being easy?

On top of what others have said. That's a really skewed idea about Costco... Like, it's a big box store with most of its inventory on the floor.
In reality, the more niche, nice, and desirable places in US (like a deli, since that's in the Costco picture) are smaller, non-corporate owned places.

On the other hand, maybe using RSS (which most sites have for free) and running your own site-with-logins-and-paid-tiers is more expensive.

I do sometimes go back and wonder if the lack of RSS readers (RSS itself still backbones a lot of the internet, certainly podcasts) has led to this newsletter-DISTRIBUTOR-business.

Usually the best test regarding the flow of information for any platform / site is their ability to bite the bullet and allow for programs and services to hit them up in the way of RSS requests. 😀👍
