The common cicada, approx. 5CM long, just flew into my patio door and dropped dead on the deck! Not sure if they have a life cycle but thought I better grab a pic before the birds get him!

We found small amusements to fill time during the pandemic, and here is an example, 50¢ worth of Bulk Barn gumballs! We had no idea how cool they would look until we got a look at them on a bigger screen, love the colours!

Took this pic of a House Finch a few days ago, just had my R6 sensor cleaned by @canoncanada.bsky.social and my older 24-105 lens refurbished by Sun Camera Services, both helping to create a very clean and detailed image.

I took this one morning last Janaury, I love how the ice fog is just skimming the water...and yes, it was as cold as it looks!

We had a 3 month journey from Oz in 2004, our stuff was in a container (8 week trip!) so why rush!! This is Milford Sound, New Zealand, home of the cleanest air, the quietest nights and darkest skies at night I have ever experienced, easy to see why they shot "The Lord of Rings" here!

I took this our first day in France, we had a great lunch at the Tuileries Garden, I got lucky and got both the Louxor Obelisk and the Arc de Triomphe in the same shot!!
