Discussion in Austin this morning: After a nice period, the outlook today is gray and dreary. We're currently in the 50s, and will likely go back to the 30s soon.

The poles are vortexing again. This morning at 6am CT, it was 28F here in Austin Texas, and 46F in Anchorage Alaska. That type of inversion happens once or twice a year, but I've never seen the temperature difference so large, almost 20 degrees.

Time for my annual Thanksgiving post: As we prepare the food for our feast today, we should stop and remember the historical event that this holiday was based on - which we all know was a grand gesture of welcoming and providing aid to undocumented immigrants 😊
