After McCarthy they changed the rule, it must be One Republican member to call it, and 8 Republicans to agree. But if they lose the majority with resignations it may just shatter by default anyway.

That's what I've been saying. if the speaker won't hold the president accountable [as is congress's job.] then they need to remove the speaker. He's not doing his job at all if you ask me.
