The Venn Diagram of people who think Jim Gavin is a good candidate for President and people who think it's good for the GAA when Dublin win and All Ireland is a circle.

Modern Star Wars:

"We need to talk to Vrix Mardone."

"But he's all the way on Besparin. We'll need a big hyperspace jump for that."

"How long will that take?"

"Oh, I mean, we did it while you were asking the question."

The Last of Us season 2 really just sucked.

The show cannot function without Pedro Pascal, the best episodes were the ones he featured heavily in.

They introduced a lot of elements to tease season 3, but I don't think they showed us enough of anything to actually pique the interest.

They're having a break, but they're not trying to advertise anything? What is the fucking point?

Love seeing a good underdog story

I feel like there's this recieved wisdom that pundits like Neil Francis, Stephen Jones and Matt Williams are intelligent men who just say things to get eyeballs on their work.

I disagree. If I see a man get up and tell the world "I'm a total fucking moron" week after week, I'm gonna believe them.

You can't say the GAA isn't inclusive when it comes to naming things.

Croke Park is named for a man from North Cork, the Sam Maguire Cup is named for a man from West Cork, and the Liam McCarthy Cup is named for a man from East Cork. That's all the important parts of the country covered.

OK, now that the Six Nations is over, it's time to share my hopes for the Lions tour to Australia:

1. No Irish players go, so they don't come back burnt out.

2. The tour is such a disaster it finishes off the Lions as a concept and we never have to bother to this shit ever again.

Lot's of talk about Wales being back the last two of weeks.

Easy to say with hindsight of course, but I think that match in the Millennium Stadium was more like a canary in the coal mine for Ireland.

I am a Munster fan first and an ireland fan second, but the Six Nations has always been my favourite time of the year in a rugby context.

I have never before felt disinterested in the run up to the competition, but I do right now 😞.

Me: "Why is my PC so slow?"

387 open Chrome tabs: "We have no idea."

Bluesky is way better than twitter unless you want to talk about rugby in which case it's as toxic as twitter ever was.

It's actually hilarious to hear Cian Prendergast arguing with the ref about him only going to the TMO because of the crowd reaction, for what was a stone cold yellow card.

These teamsheet graphics.....

Can we all just agree that the only acceptable grid layouts for Rugby team sheets are 2 X 8 and 1 X 15?

It's a uniquely Irish notion that professional teams should be facilitated with functionally unlimited budgets to be able to retain as much homegrown talent as they like.

This is going to benefit Munster a lot with the talent coming through, but the competition distortion it creates is real.

Starting on Bluesky is like starting a new Minecraft world.

I have to rebuild (refollow) everything I had on the last world (Twitter), and it just doesn't feel worth the effort right now.

I've got my rugby follows going and that's it, I don't even know who else I used to follow on the bird app.

In Junior Infants the teacher drew a fish around a greater than sign to teach us it's pointing towards the bigger number because it wants to eat it.

33 years later, I've a degree in Maths and write SQL daily, I still think about this to remember which way the sign points.

Jack Crowley is just excellent. Getting better every match and such a classy footballer, on top of being so physical for his build.

So, with my professional hat on, Snyman going to Leinster would be no different than me going across to BOI. Fair play to him for doing what's right for him and his family.

Fan hat on though, jeez, that's a hard one to take.

Twitter deleted. Time to find out if I need to delete bluesky too.
