Tonight, we did something everyone counted out. We proved to a nation that states like Tennessee are still worth fighting for. The margin was close, and that can only be attributed to the thousands of volunteers who showed out. This is just the beginning.

To give you an idea of how ridiculous the gerrymandering in Nashville is, here’s our district. They diluted a third of Nashville into a rural area about 50 times as large that extends north to the Kentucky border and about a third of the length of the state to the east.

A damn shame. I don't think we can ask for a better candidate than Aftyn. I believe this is a mix of people, especially those from rural areas who are not (or refuse) to wake up, and the gerrymandering of Nashville.
