Truly weird listening to/watching so many cretins argue the activities of Tice/Farage etc are irrelevant and a misleading comparison because they’re ‘legal’. Avoidance schemes remain legal not because they’re morally sound, but rather due to the weight of influence behind the money invested in them.

It may feel as though we live in dark times, but here in the UK there are LOADS of science festivals celebrating ideas, sparking curiosity & sharing the latest research (for both adults & kids). Someone told me recently they didn’t know where to look, so I made a list. Here goes… [deep breath]:

A remarkable series. All the more so given how little political action these events have seemed to provoke.
And also out today (!) episode 9 of Sergei & the Westminster Spy Ring. Another podcast series, this time on a shoestring with a crowdfunded budget (just another v talented producer) but so of the moment, it's quite unreal. This is a story that's going to run & run

It would likely be noticeable most days if you cared to compare. But on days like today, where it’s being purposefully amplified, the difference in levels of hatred & bile between here & X is truly something.
