As a former Commissioner of the Equality and Human Rights Commission it's incredibly important that we reinforce the equality laws of our country. The whole point of having "protected characteristics" is because these groups of people have historically experienced harm at the hands of others.

It's a shame they didn't also question the sources of the huge amounts of money being used by the pro lobby all over our public transport system and elsewhere with tacky sound bites and saccharine imagery

We want to live with dignity first and foremost, not be encouraged to end our lives to end our "suffering". I, like many other disabled people, want to know that my doctor is gunning for me, not gunning me.
