Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi just announced she will not seek reelection after nearly 40 years serving in congress and leading the Democrats for 20. Former Carl Albert Center Directors Ron Peters and Cindy Simon Rosenthal published a book about her time in office in 2010.

After reflecting on the lectures, I think political science departments need to return to their roots and rethink how to define governments that do not fit easily into our current categorizations.

After reflecting on the lectures, I think political science departments need to return to their roots and rethink how to define governments that do not fit easily into our current categorizations.
Over three days she taught us that political science abandoned its study of colonial administration and this has influenced our understanding of governments that do not fit nicely into the nation-state framework. You can view the lectures here www.youtube.com/@cacarchives...
