Black Phone 2 is a textbook example on how to make an excellent follow-up from the first one, but also expand upon taking the characters and story further with some risky moves in a new direction. As well as being emotionally effective. Good time to watch at the cinema.

I am gutted that Julian McMahon is no longer with us. My only exposure to him was his role as Doctor Doom in the 2000s Fantastic Four films as a kid that I did recognise him for. But recently this year, he appeared in The Surfer playing a toxic masculinity Andrew Tate figure that I thought captured

I don't know what Opus is trying to say overall as a film, nor do I know what the point of it the of the film is trying to get across after it finished.
I never felt confused by a film so unsure of itself thinking it knew what is talking about but it clearly didn't know leaving me somewhat baffled.

Companion (2025): One of the most cleverest writing I’ve seen in a while which is the best thing coming out from it.
Probably the best recent twisted film in years which is commendable at the start of the year. I imagine it will manage to stay on my best films this year list.

This film is bound to be a new classic by Steven Soderbergh, and it amazes me how well every aspect has been executed. One of the most intriguing experiences by far Soderbergh/Koepp's best collaboration they ever did together.
