Remember that article well - still can’t really argue with the choices nearly half-a-century later although the Bovell piece does help to give credit to non-JA dub-makers.

I’ve met Neil ‘Mad Professor’ Fraser at his Ariwa Studio a couple of times and he was surprised I asked him to autograph a couple of his Lovers Rock albums rather than his dub albums. It wasn’t explicit but I got the feeling that his lighter-complexioned fans (like me) tended to be more dub-anoraks
