I visited Ellis Island yesterday and was reminded, first hand, that there’s nothing new to today’s immigration propaganda. 100 years ago cartoons were the way to influence the illiterate mob and today it’s memes, rallies, sound bites and the same exaggerated lies, demonization and racism.

First time eating authentic Chicago deep dish pizza and it was good! But it feels like an apples to oranges comparison to NY or Neapolitan pizza. It was more pie-like including the crust which was flakey, not doughy. 🤔
