Put aside your elitist gatekeeping point (which is real, to be sure)--yes, I could be an improv game designer but I don't want to. I would rather do other things during a session.

All of these discussions also assume that GMs have unlimited bandwidth during play. Every moment that you are as libbing solutions to non-functional or non-existent mechanics is a moment that you are not spending on the narrative, characters, etc.

At this risk of leaning too hard into GNS language, the degree to which a big segment of the ttrpg community is absolutely hostile to the "game" part of "roleplaying game" is wild to me. The claim that the game works too well and thus makes you soft as a GM is to me very silly.

I'll do my part and be intentional about Ttrpg posting

My attempt at doing cyberpunk had Canada as a world power that absorbed Michigan and sections of New England. It also de facto ruled the UK for like 20 years after it fell into civil war.

It has been an ...interesting year in Ttrpg layouts.

It shouldn't require *this* much shenanigans to get to Trump +3 in a swing state.
October 19, 2024 at 8:27 PM
The thing about all of these BS polls is that when you describe the insane contortions they do to get like Trump +3, my thought is "this is actually good news for Harris."

Extremely based

The idea that the people attending the Al Smith dinner is "95% liberals" is hilariously funny. Dolan sure isn't.

I am convinced that a time traveling from 1984 who watches this year's DNC would assume Harris and Walz were the successors to Reagan.

I am convinced you could teach the entirety of basic Civ Pro using post 2020 election challenge cases.

Both of whom will make "we must purge the groypers" a core value.

If the Trumpist version of the Republican Party implodes, the future of the center-Right is Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney, which is the antithesis of what these people want.
