I currently work in HR at a mid-sized city. Since my first job (in local journalism) I’ve worked in the museum field and Public Health. I write novels on the side.

I am 47. The first 7 years out of college colleagues and I regularly went for drinks after work.

I have changed jobs 3 times since that first work experience and have never, not once, been out for drinks with co-workers. It's not even on the radar and I would be seen as odd for suggesting it.
