The biggest problem with common sense is that it precludes critical thinking.

When I hear someone use the term "common sense" I mentally translate that into "ignorant, and unwilling to change my mind."

There are tons of examples of this:
- thinking if something is natural, it must be better
- if there's sickness in your blood, take the blood out and you will get rid of the sickness
- the earth is flat (i mean... it sure looks flat from here!)
