We are very grateful to the @escmid.bsky.social Study Group for Mycoplasma and Chlamydia Infections (ESGMAC) Mycoplasma pneumoniae Surveillance (MAPS) study group members and collaborators, and to all those who helped with the ESGMAC MAPS study.

We describe the clinical severity and outcome of infections, while providing an explanation for why this pathogen re-emerged much later than other respiratory pathogens.

Two questions for you based on conversations at home as we survive what seems to be a flu outbreak.

1. Are the types covered in the nasal spray the same as those in the injected?
2. Is it know if the nasal spray is less effective/more effective/no different for reducing severity as the injected?

This was the second time when I did not get an alert but my wife did.

Trying to decipher this passive-aggressive message about my contribution to society and the lack of need to be saved 😂
