I love international, Canadian, Ontario, and Toronto politics. I am also a Simpsons fan. If you love international and regional borders, I will love reading your posts. "Yes" to proportional representation!
I saw some of the coverage before and after the dental appointment. I did see about 20 minutes of it between 10:50 and 11:10. I had to go to work after. The CBC coverage is great!

Avi Lewis's website is as generic as an NDP website: Join the party; ask for donations. That is all.

Singh won because he sold the most memberships to people from his ethnic community.

While Avi Lewis may have bold ideas, his website is a generic as any NDP website: Join the NDP; donate to the Avi Lewis leadership campaign. That is all.

While Marit Stiles does perform well in the legislature, she lacks an overall vision for Ontario. I don't know what she wants for Ontario. What will she do for education, healthcare, jobs, the environment, municipal governance, public transportation, and other areas? I don't know.

One can understand why there are MAGA voters. Yes, racism is one reason. The other reason is that many Democratic representatives and senators represent the corporate interests. They don't represent average Americans.

I hope Mark Carney provides funding for a Ferris/roulette wheel at Austria Place in Toronto. Don't forget the monorail that will go from Austria Place to Etobicoke by taking over the Waterfront pathway for pedestrians and cyclists.

Either these Democratic senators will be resigning or they don't face re-election until 2028 or 2030.

Add Chuck Shumer for helping arrange the vote with the Republicans. His NO vote was a defacto YES vote.

Remember to add Schumer for agreeing to the vote with the Republicans.

Remember that when though Schumer voted "no," he organized everything with the Republicans. He is a de-facto "yes."

Years ago in Toronto, a mayor named John Tory voted with opposition councillors while giving his supporting councillors "cheat sheets" telling them to vote the opposite way. Chuck Shumer has voted "no" while getting some Democratic senators to vote for his preferred "yes" with the Republicans.

The date of November 9 was not seen as a joyous occasion for the Jewish community as they remember Kristallnacht from 1938. These two photos show a Jewish memorial park near the Brandenburg Gate.
