This is just flawed, worst part is that since this has an idler which engage with a secondary rode from the main capstan, it is prune to wear down more. What makes it bad is that this is a special idler you will hardly find, it has some wings on the inside to catch on that gear it’s on

Big tape doesn’t want you do know this but this UDAR mech is easy as shit to repair, I don’t know why people are such a PUSSY about it. Genuinely more easier to repair than those crappy rotary reverse heads I find on double decks

Finally figured out what fried in my RX-202, it was a tranny that shorted to ground - Q511 to be exact which is a D471 NPN-type tranny.
Easy to find a replacement of fortunately but of course it was a rether expensive replacement as I am prettt sure the D471 hasn’t been made since the late-1980’s

New Nakamichi deck possibly coming soon, this will go well with my RX-202.
Found another BX-150 sale for cheap ($60) but it needs some minor work such as new pinch roller, flywheel belt, cam motor commutator cleaned and the counter display fixed.
