Meandering through the city last might when i nearly walk straight into my bfff Gaby also meandering through the city. We both detoured our plans into drinks & TMoms, joints on her roof, and TLOU on the couch with Sage the pittie. What a wonderful last night in Philly for a few weeks.

It’s funny, I’m always so reticent to stop to filter/refill my water cause i’m so focused on making my miles for the day, and yet as soon as i start the process i remember it’s always the most relaxing & reflective part of my day. Sitting by a spring and collecting the key to life… 💧 🌎 🌱

This weekend I hiked from Pine Grove Furnace to Caledonia, connecting my footpath to the PenMar border, as well as hitting my first disconnected 100 unique miles of the Appalachian Trail.
I am feeling so ready to take on the Shenandoah Valley in 2 weeks!!!

This weekend I hiked from Pine Grove Furnace to Caledonia, connecting my footpath to the PenMar border, as well as hitting my first disconnected 100 unique miles of the Appalachian Trail.
I am feeling so ready to take on the Shenandoah Valley in 2 weeks!!!

This was my first wild snake encounter while hiking. Didn’t even see this big boy til she snapped out at me as I walked past. Being a black rat snake, which are nom-venomous and generally docile to humans, i wonder if she had a nest nearby. Or if she saw the snake on my arm 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
