I import a gammon from Ireland each year and thought all Irish people are resourceful so hoped the mince pie specialist did the same. Maybe I should ask the butcher to speak to the baker!

Being of South African extraction wintery Christmas’s were never a thing, but mince pies and a gammon were always on the menu. There must be some places where you can get both here (between Montpellier and Nimes) but they aren’t known to me.

Very exciting second half - I’m glad Ireland won. The score was a fair reflection of the game in my view.

Picked olives from our two trees and gave them away to the ‘Glaneurs ‘ of Sommieres to make oil. Had to stop Baxter from eating olives. I do feed him btw.
