This was disgraceful when it happened & it's just as infuriating today that it took the police 2.5 years to admit THEY BROKE THE LAW in arresting someone simply for voicing an opinion held by millions in this country! #NotMyKing

The country's £10m-a-year sponsorship of Arsenal FC is mirrored by deals with two other football giants Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain Its "Visit Rwanda' tourism brand also backs the Basketball Africa League, and now discussions are being held between President Paul Kagame and the FIA, Formula One's governing body. over Rwanda hosting a grand prix, the continent's first since South Africa in 1993. These days it costs a country between $20m and $50m in fees to host the event, plus the expense of building a suitable track and grandstands with an uplift in tourism anticipated as the reward. Campaigners such as Human Rights Watch accuse Kagame (who secured 99.2 percent of the vote in last July's presidential election) of using sport deals to distract attention from its human-rights issues, including the imprisoning of political opponents.
