I think he moved the phone to his left hand. After he shot his gun, the video on his phone straightened up right away. I don't think he had to retrieve it from the ground.

I was on an obscure back road, Utah state highway 44, south of Flaming Gorge Reservoir about 20 years ago. The different layers of strata were labeled. It felt odd that this was done where not many people would ever see it.

Makes sense. It is a profession I have not been part of other than as a reader. Out of curiosity, would it be proper, if you know the police just made it up, to say "the police said" while saying they made it up? It seems to me police dishonesty is newsworthy.
