Perhaps a semantic point, but EU Directives and Regulations only establish minimum standards. Member States were always permitted to exceed these standards, something brexiteers often forget.

This didn't work for my daughter... her employer reduced her hours from 40h/w to 37.5. The employer did this by removing one 15m paid break/day. Her income doesn't change at all.

Well, they did the same with the loan charge... chased the users of the scheme, rather than the crooks that established and aggressively marketed it.

I'm all for it, but isn't this simply a Fischer-Tropsch cell? The technology has been around since the 1920's , but I guess the innovative aspect is using solar to power the reaction.

I don't know if it is a false memory, but I have a feeling one of those let go spectacularly on the starting grid once... can you or anyone else confirm? I thought it was one of the gold liveried Jordans, but could be wrong.

In my view, each party should be provided with a maximum budget for their electoral promotion and nothing more permitted.
It seems wrong to me that wealthy donors are able to provide enormous sums, presumably to fund their own ambitions.
