What's important is that whether we are a republic or a monarchy is a choice we, the Scottish people, can make as a normal independent nation. We don't have to decide now, but we will keep our options open.

What about in the rural areas of Scotland where you may have to walk several miles to the nearest bus route. Are you going to do that with your weekly shopping?
