Enjoyed Michael Shannon, @jasonnarducy.bsky.social and band playing Fables by @remhq.bsky.social so much on Tuesday, went again to London. Even better than the first time - the band were tip top and Shannon is weirdly great frontman.

@thatwouldbealex.bsky.social's book about making music and life in the 90s arrived today with lots of candy! Looking forward to getting into it and dragging up my own memories of early 90s gigs! Or at least, dragging up those bits I can remember. It's quite hazy now.

Hi @bigbeatlessortout.bsky.social - don't know if this has come across your radar, but I picked this up the other day at Sound Records on the Isle of Man and I can wholeheartedly recommend it! Natalie Cole's version of Lucy In The Sky etc is soooo good!

I'm sure I read somewhere that it's an apocryphal story and that there were at least one or two other takes. Though that that might not be true either. Who knows!

If you're in the mood for an REM book - I can recommend this one. Deep dive into people they knew at the start. Enjoyable read!
