It’s a sign of how bad things are in the US that whereas before, some people would say: “I’m moving to Canada”, now it’s like: “I’m taking my whole f**ing state with me.” This is next level sh*t!

I keep hearing Washington and Oregon want to join Canada with California. You guys need to get your referendums on the ballot like California, like NOW! Don’t get left behind!

A lot of Canadians are cool with the idea – not all mind you. If it were to happen, I think the process would be something like:
secession,
enter into a close partnership,
synchronization of political, financial, and military systems,
then merge

I'm curious how many of you would be comfortable dropping the Declaration of Independence upon joining Canada? It was revolutionary, but it's almost 250 yrs old now, and it's not the 18th century anymore. FYI, Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms is less than 50 and I think, more relevant today.

I think California, Oregon, Washington joining Canada would be epic. A real force for good in the world.

It really seems like Canada appreciates California way more than the rest of the US (minus the northeast). Core values also seem much more in alignment. If California and the rest of the west coast decide to join Canada, here’s how the new family might look. Please share if it gives you hope.
