Feeling scientifically energised after the Microsoil conference, a week of in-depth discussions with a fantastic team of soil scientists, focusing on microscale soil processes. Special thanks to the organising team, especially, for your hard work. Below is a lovely sun squint photo with Steffen.

It was great fun today presenting about soils and giving a general overview of carbon cycling in the Senior:innen Universität Zürich UZH3 Seminar Series. Fascinating questions!

It was great to be back in a hutch doing synchrotron-based STXM analyses at the Softimax line in Max IV, Sweden for the C deficit project! Thanks to the excellent beam line staff and wonderful collaborative team @schweizer.bsky.social @mschiedung.bsky.social #soil #soilscience

It was a spicy-icy bike back to Max IV this morning to make some more measurements with my suitcase attached to the back of the bike! A great experience all around with @schweizer.bsky.social and @mschiedung.bsky.social

What a joy to be doing exciting synchrotron science in a hutch again!!

We're working at Max IV in Sweden to measure incubated samples for the CDeficit project using STXM C NEXAFS @mschiedung.bsky.social
