Great point. Also keep in mind how starved Minnesota was for a PG at that time

Yes 100% agree. I think Wolves was completely infatuated with Russell. From the prior summer:

Yes 100% agree. I think Wolves was completely infatuated with Russell. From the prior summer:

I don't think Beasley/Hernangomez were seen as key pieces. Rosas just got fleeced pursuing DLo. Nobody thought Hernangomez/Beasley > Robert Covington. Jarrett Culver was supposed to be Wiggins replacement. They needed a starting PG because Teague was on his way out. They had no cap space
