I actually had to "fight" them like this, because the 1st strategy didn't work for me [this was at the start of 2024]: stop right there after you climbed up the ladder,
throw maybe 3-4 throwables at them, then climb down the ladder and wait for them to de-aggro, repeat.
Cheese finds a way 😉

I think Polendina probably carried her because he's her butler, and some other guest the wheelchair [or maybe there's a hidden storage room with a spare wheelchair on the upstairs floor].
