This is an older commission I did on Etsy! It originally was for a single illustration, but I fell in love with the idea and the commissioner let me run wild!! :'D

This is more of a halfway point that I may or may not send the WIP for, depending on the intricacies of the piece. This is about halfway through the lineart, where I'll be tiding up focal point before adding background details and refining the character(s) :3

Once we have a basic sketch shaped up, I'll end up practicing things I'm not super familiar with a few times, before refining it a little more and sending it over to update the client!

From here, I take the client's ref sheet and make a model in Design Doll.
I have pretty intense aphantasia, so modelling out their character roughly and creating the scene helps me envision it better and show a stronger visual from the initial sketches!
DD is also great for pushing perspectives!
