just in case you didn't know, as long as the needle/syringe is sterile, it's fine for human use, amazon doesn't allow selling medical supplies without a prescription, so they put "not for human use" as a loophole

so look for "sterile" on it's listing

in my experience, it hurts less, both when injecting and the day after

tummy (one inch away from the navel) tends to be very fatty and there's not much stuff going on there so i always found it more comfortable for subq since the skin is easier to grab + you have more to grab

you need the angle cause if the needle is too long it may skip over the subcutaneous layer of the skin

finally, do you have a preference for upper tight? for me, the tummy is better spot for subq injections

ok so, unless you have 5/16" needles, you shouldn't do subq straight (90°), you need a 45° for either 1/2" (halfway 1" in your case) or 5/8", i'm assuming you're actually pulling the skin

what?! that's too long for subq, are you sure you're not doing intramuscular (considering you inject at a 90° angle)?

do you know the gauge and length of your needle?

in which area are you injecting?

it generally means you pierced a blood vessel on the way to the muscle if you're doing intramuscular injections
