I think I just really needed to see that someone like Zohran Mamdani, a strong willed and empathetic person who truly cares about his city and his neighbors wellbeing over everything else, can win an election for office in this day and age. It gives me hope.

The only reason I keep my Facebook is so I can get on there every few days and verbally fight my racist family members, stop keeping the peace and letting racist, misogynistic, transphobic “family” members get away and feel like their rhetoric is normal and acceptable.
