Woe, to hit the middle ground of "that's how it is, man" between "fuuuckkh this is my tortured ass life isn'tthis scary" and "well it's a fantasy world so there's no consequence, actually" with fantasy analogs.

I've been scratching my head recently over how I'm portraying something like that explicitly in my comic, because I'm still getting used to the art form. But also because of depiction period.

Trying out a new animation program, and giving some nifty VHS effects a go. This is the closest I've ever gotten to what I want my animations to truly look like- Pretty exciting :-}

The writing equivalent of a jumpscare imo. As in; cheap, uninspired, can be fine in moderation (and tact) but is used as the win button for "damn this horror shit is easy."
