- one person has died exhibiting symptoms of hemorrhagic fever
- 65 new cases, 5 new deaths
- qPCR and RDTs point to malaria. Cannot rule out viral infection within the context of malnutrition and/or severe malaria

#IDSky #MedSky Update to mystery illness in #DRC. Up to 71 deaths. Sheer amount of children affected is particularly concerning.. 40% of cases in those under age 5. Full list of symptoms so far:

-High fever
-Headache
-Anemia (might be one to watch)
-Difficulty breathing
-Myalgia
-Rhinorrhea
-Cough
