British Rowing cleared to redevelop Sherriff’s Boathouse and add a new one at Redgrave Pinsent Lake in Caversham, despite council objections over increased road traffic. Facilities for world-class rowers to be modernised. Will be great to see it in action.

Smithfield Market includes several buildings, two of which (General Market and Poultry Market) will house the Museum of London. Plans to relocate trading activities to Dagenham were scrapped. Smithfield's non-museum areas will be repurposed for cultural use, and Billingsgate will become housing.
