If one is so fortunate
as to find a place in the world.

And another soul with whom
one's loneliness can reside.

Maybe a bit cheesy, but I really liked this dialogue from a movie called Mr Holmes:

It's us, on this side,
who are, all of us so...

Alone?

I have been alone...

all my life.

But with the compensations
of the intellect.

- And is that enough?
- It can be.

Also, I don't think the tab sprawl is really an issue for me, just an artifact of how I use the internet.

Ummmm, no thank you :) Reading a wall of AI-generated text is deeply unappealing to me. The human touch from those articles is really important and, if I discard that by passing them through AI, then my information retention goes through the floor.

But that wouldn’t really help me… I’d either just pin all of them by default or get frustrated that I lost the breadcrumbs I left for myself. Some of that does get stale after a while, but, oh well…

They're spread across about 100 windows. Most of them are minimised. The rest I can cycle through using the keyboard, since that's the stuff I should go through ASAP. Also, the tab search feature comes in handy. Browsers are pretty great at unloading tabs from memory, so they don't hog resources.

Add to that various projects left in various stages of exploration which require further investigation... Half of the work is finding relevant resources to read. Bookmarking those is extra work.

Imagine having an unstoppable urge to constantly check out what's new combined with FOMO after uncovering all sorts of new stuff but not having the time to go through it immediately.

Oh, forgot to check the count on my phone... Just 290, FML. I need to deal with those as well. And I'm ignoring the ~800 link dump from my old laptop that's sitting in a text file somewhere 🙈
