I'm explaining to my 87-year-old mother-in-law—who has been in the hospital for a month—that the CEO of UHC was assassinated in NYC in broad daylight and no one cared—that she'd slept through a cultural Pearl Harbor.
Her response: "What have we come to? But I suppose he deserved it."

Day 6 with the plague—but at least I can breathe again. A plus: today brings us yet another day closer to seeing Donald Trump’s obituary.

I confess I'm a little sad, though. I wasn't shown a "Tell us why you're leaving" box into which I could type "Because Elon Musk is a fascist asshole shitgibbon."

Here's a friendly bearded seal who swam near my kayak in Svalbard. I asked them if they wanted to hang for a while—maybe play some video games—but then I realized a seal can't play Skyrim. It's the flippers, you see.
