I once again feel the need to inform you that one of the best ways to get away with eavesdropping and being nosy is to just be up front about the nosiness. You say something like "oh don't mind me I'm just being nosy" or "I don't have any skin in the game I'm just a nosy bitch" and 8 times out of 10 the people will actively include you in it and another 1 out ten they simply write you off as a background extra and continue as if you're not there. I have learned SO much gossip about my coworkers with this method. Did you know like 3 older men in the training department have been competing to date a 20 something new hire and the one who managed to get with her has a wife and kids.
