Unless I'm mistaken, Musou isn't a genre but instead is the Japanese franchise name for Warriors (Sangokumusou, Musou Orochi, Zelda Musou, etc). I believe they're all made by the same developer as well, ω-Force.

If I remember correctly (it's been a while), the Switch 1 only offers user profile transfers, but your ACNH island is considered a system save. Not sure if it's just for Switch 2, but the new tool is a more complete system transfer including your island.

Only if you're not doing a full system transfer. That process also moves island data without the transfer tool.

It's a bit expensive, especially with a new console release coming up, but MiSTer FPGA is one of the best ways to play classic games up to the Saturn. I got one last year, and it's been fun exploring retro libraries that I missed the first time around.
