Proud Canadian here, my uncle had a brain tumour and without universal healthcare he would not be alive today because he wouldn't have been able to afford the hospital bills. I will never take for granted what we have here, even if the wait times can be long sometimes.

I was very confused by this as I had never heard of this story, I read into this and I am disturbed. There is a chance that the child when born may not survive and even if it does, it could end up blind, deaf or paraplegic. Why not let them lay to rest together? This is abuse of a corpse imo.

I will never understand how Americans are ok with 6-12 weeks of maternity leave. Here in Canada we have 12-18 months of maternity leave because the first year of a child's life is so important.

Not quite, Alberta is potentially taking him since their mp "gracefully" stepped down to allow PP a chance in a by-election.

The only reason they voted CPC was they were tired of liberals. Ask them about anything CPC believes in and they couldn't tell you a single thing. I didn't just vote liberal, I voted for women's rights, the CBC and my healthcare. But I guess these are things CPC voters don't care about.

I think it was absolutely fucking ridiculous that he was able to run for prime minister without a security clearance. If a company you've applied to asks for a background check in order to get hired and you say no, they're not hiring you. This should also apply to politicians.

If I was that riding, I would protest against this happening. But then again I have a feeling they are ok with it.
