I would definitely say the album is worth listening to in full for the entire context of it, but if you're not the type to be able to tolerate that stuff, I totally get it.

It is just VITALLY important to remember the context of how things are said, especially nowadays.

and it's INCREDIBLY weird that the article makes no mention of the fact that Eminem himself has a non-binary kid (who is an adult but I dunno the gender-neutral term for someone's adult child) despite it being well known to anyone doing a simple google search of "eminem trans"

with that assumption in your brain that "oh, Eminem's just an old transphobic fart" when in reality it's literally a parody, something called out as early as the second track when he points out that South Park doing it would have been viewed more fairly.

The album itself is one of those ones where, if you heard one or two songs (or dare I say, googled "every eminem song that mentions trans people" like I suspect the article writer did) out of context, it would be VERY easy to go "man, those are such lazy jokes, what a dweeb" and move on

It feels like the person writing an article comes to a conclusion then shapes what's told to fit that conclusion.

The best example of this would be the article about Eminem's "transphobia" in The Death of Slim Shady, which just... misses vitally important information? Or at least glosses over it.
