one mongolian tradition done for babies is using fox talismans / felt fox baby mobile on their cribs. it is believed that the fox imagery protects children from evil. this belief comes from a story that a fox will leave the child alone if there is fox imagery thinking that there is already a fox.

- tengrist communities that are willing to do this said ritual somehow long distance, you can still offer things to spirits. one way is providing liquid offerings to the spirits of each direction (north, east, south, west).
