i think it's ok! just a massive delayed bruise from the impact. i've been using fancy plasters on the wounds themselves and they seem to be less uhhh, woundy. i remain ambulatory (but will see someone if it gets worse)

ok i think i've got this now? the USB 3.2 hubs i am using to add more ports to my extender, are just spewing any USB 2.0 traffic directly to the USB 2.0 controller on the extender. which is why the hub topology doesn't matter. in theory if i acquire a USB 2.0 native hub, this will just_work ...?

ok so basically it has a USB 2.0 and USB 3.2 interface, but regardless of the hub topology on the remote side, there are 7 USB 2.0 ports total and THAT is why ive been getting mysterious behaviour

it's nice to be worrying about temperature and humidity in a "i hope my exhibits are stored appropriately" way, rather than the Oxygen not Included "fuck fuck fuck i have succumbed to the laws of thermodynamics" kinda way
