Brilliant AI piece from Ethan Mollick as always — this one is required reading.

His “Co-Intelligence” book is still the best thing I’ve read on AI… and this article is a terrific update to his seminal piece
As AI systems keep getting better at very hard problems while getting more opaque, the way that we work with AI is shifting shifting from being collaborators who shape the process to being supplicants who receive the output.

I discussed what that means. www.oneusefulthing.org/p/on-working...

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. As the WSJ article suggests, renewables could surprise to the upside in a ‘“level playing field” environment. Expect more robust capital allocation.
Heard on the Street: Rising electricity demand, in part due to AI needs, along with the increasing cost of alternatives should cushion the loss of subsidies for green energy.

The Oil Majors are adjusting their low-carbon strategies and capital allocation to the realities of the market. BP has had the biggest course correction, as confirmed by last week's capital markets update. NOCs are increasingly carrying the torch for the oil sector in low-carbon investment.
