If I was Bob Iger. Which I am not. I would see these numbers, and subscriber numbers, and say “this should be box office sales.” And that is what he has done with every other successful Disney IP. Looking at you, Moana 2. Looking at you, Mandalorian and Grogu.

I think it had less to do with its viewership and more to do with these mass entertainment companies coming to grips that investing in streaming doesn’t pay off the way they were promised. Every other move Disney has made with their successful IP is arguably consistent with this.
