A controversial sewage sludge site nr Wattisham air base has been ordered to stop operations after residents raised health fears.

Tests showed levels of Ammonia 170+ times higher than safe levels for aquatic animals like water bugs and fish.

Following installation of the main structures, Green Party councillors have welcomed news that the unpopular temporary bridge at #Stowmarket Railway Station will go, and a far better, fully accessible bridge with lifts will be opening, hopefully in January.

County, District and Town Councillors are calling on Suffolk County Council to act now to replace broken and loose paving slabs in shopping streets in Stowmarket. 

They have been out with hazard tape marking some of the worst hazards.

Council restructuring needs public engagement, not a political campaign. Money is better spent on mending roads.

More spending on propaganda has been revealed. Plus the public are baffled and concerned by the tone of the 'Alice' leaflet.

Responding to news Jeremy Corbyn MP is forming a new party, Cllr Andy Mellen, speaking on behalf of Mid Suffolk Green Party, said: "If anyone is looking for a political party 'rooted in the communities' they need look no further than the Green Party with 60 councillors across Suffolk and growing."

A truly wonderful effort tidying up the path between Stowmarket and Needham Market. 19 volunteers from Mid Suffolk Green Party helped yesterday. Special thanks to James Firman Tree Surgeries. We cleared six bin bags of litter and a combined half a mile of path. More to do! 💚
