#BCWildfire season is ramping up with new fires starting over the weekend, especially in northeastern #BritishColumbia around #Chetwynd, the #PeaceRiver region, & north of #DawsonCreek, #FortStJohn. A new Out of Control wildfire has also started on #VancouverIsland.

It's been called by multiple news sites, he will be elected.

Regardless of Carney's romantic nationalism this is the reality of Canada.

A racist, sexist, extreme right-winger successfully ran a campaign & was elected, despite Canadians knowing exactly who he is (or because it's exactly what they want).

Nearly 50% of the popular vote is for people like him.

This is a good day for a gentle reminder that you can mute words and hashtags, even just for a temporary break for your own wellbeing.

I'm trying to remember that I can curate my social media experience here, so I don't need to completely disappear as I'm trying to rest & heal.

So, it seems some of the app settings are attached to your device, not your account.

My phone bricked itself last week & I'm slowly coming back here again. I had mine set to require ALT text before & had to reset it again on this device.

The first meme I saw after my laptop, data backups, and phone died/failed within hours of each other the other day 🙃

The #CulturalAppropriation never ends... Wayfair selling a " #NativeAmerican #Indigenous Wigwam Shelter Cardboard Standup"

...for "up to 70% off!" What a steal...

What even is this??

Some of the last of the hand-painted wood feather earrings for the year.

With the postal strike and some health issues, I couldn't have them ready before XMas, but I enjoyed making this batch.

Looks like the wet coast is in for another series of storms over the holidays. No snow, but potential for power outages. #BCWeather #BCStorm

Wind is picking up here now, gusts about 40km/hr, garbage cans being knocked over.

Still not as bad as other wind storms this fall (at least where I am) and we still have power, though the lights have been flickering. Wetter today that earlier in the week. #BCStorm

I miss my homelands horribly today, the change of seasons always makes me long for home.

Here are a few of my favourite moments being back home in #Secwepemcúl'ecw.
