Universal healthcare doesn’t have political support bc politicians and employers are able to (occasionally correctly) tell people that it would be more expensive than the current system and use the classic “why should you pay for a crackhead’s medical bill?” Which works on a LOT of people.

I feel like this also pretends that every zoomer didn’t have to do this or that every millennial did this. Plus it’s also just a matter of that it’s not needed information so why know it? You’re dependent on your plumbing and your electricity that you don’t understand. So should you he pitied?

(Some) Millennials shit on zoomers in stupid ways, “can you believe we had to put our phones in lockers?” “Can you believe…” Type shit. Often it comes off as shitting on zoomers for being reliant on simpler technology (smartphones, computers w/o knowing basic coding, etc.)

Question: why the use of SRV and LPDR instead of Vietnamese and Lao / Laotian? I understand those are the official names of those nations but it seems a strange distinction not made for Cambodia or Afghanistan, which both have had name changes.

and it was never the expectation you do all that, everyone I’ve known just asked the person or got coffee and food one day to ask or something akin. Reading the replies makes me feel like they’re thinking it’s a requirement to get someone to go to prom and that doesn’t fit what I know personally.

Can you elaborate a tad? Maybe I haven’t seen the right promposals but the ones I’m used to seeing is just some signs with a pun and maybe some friends to help. Ofc if they say no it’s embarrassing but the general idea as far as I know is that you do it for your S.O. Or someone who will say yes
