Reminds me of a job interview I did recently where I was asked what I did outside work and I drew a complete blank and couldn’t answer the question. I had no hobbies outside of work and I realized how completely fucked that was.

You’re not alone. I’m going through it now and it feels like it never ends. You’re so much more than just what you think you’re “good” at.

also: don’t make work your identity

as in don’t get your whole identity wrapped up in your job/what your job is/how much you work. losing a job then becomes a spiritually unforgiving experience lol

to add - I don’t quite have the new ‘sona fully figured out just yet. the species is a total blur right now in my head. probably close to fennec fox-ish, something white with tall pointy ears. one of these dags i’ll get a commission or ref I always wanted to get a clearer picture.

the amount of companies touting AI as a buzzword for “innovation” is staggering and tone deaf. like they really think we look at that and go “wow this is incredible, I surely trust and value this company more”

as a baby artist constantly battling to pick up the pencil bc of my own outlandish expectations, this is very encouraging.

My all time favorite hobby is doing productive tasks in order to avoid my job search. My brain tricks me into procrastination bc I’m technically doing something ”productive” like laundry instead of looking for work. i get so owned by my brain
